Bournemouth Air Festival 2008

If you are available, feel free to join the free Air Festival at Bournemouth, start from 28th to 31st August.

I have experience the activity once last year. It was fantastic.

Bournemouth is a good place for holiday, if you could get a cheap flight with Ryan Air (as what i did last year), it is definitely one of the best + cheapest way to enjoy an unforgetable holiday.

BookWorms Wednesday

Bookworm Wednesdays is an exciting summer reading programme designed to encourage our young patrons to read during the summer months. Every Wednesday morning during the summer holidays at 10:00 a.m., just bring a book report with you to one of the participating Showcase Cinemas to enjoy the selected Bookworm Wednesdays films. That's your price of admission. You can download the book report form from the link below.

Each week the participating cinemas randomly select one child's book report from all entries received. That child will receive a prize pack with movie goodies and a pair of passes. Additionally, every week five children's book reports will be drawn from all submissions and each child will win a pair of cinema passes. At the end of the five-week programme, one grand prize winner will win a year’s worth of movie passes for themselves and a friend, as well as an additional prize pack.

Free Entries for Dads to National Botanic Garden of Wales

Dads go free to National Botanic Garden of Wales on 15th June 2008, Sunday.

Dad’s money is guaranteed to go further on Father’s Day at the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

All dads are allowed in Carmarthenshire’s No 1 visitor attraction on Sunday June 15 – free of charge.

Head of marketing at the Garden, David Hardy, said: “Mums go free on Mother’s Day so I think dads would have our guts for garters if we didn’t make them the same offer.

“It really is the perfect chance for the kids to treat dad to a slap-up Sunday lunch at our award-winning licensed restaurant – and then walk it off around these beautiful Gardens.”

Right now, there is so much to see. In the Great Glasshouse, there is still time to see the beautiful king protea – the national flower of South Africa – in full bloom and a couple of the truly spectacular puya plants, the famous and spiky llama-eating species from Chile.
Things are getting hot and steamy in the Tropical House, where you will find cardamom and coconuts, pineapples and palms as well as dozens of orchids.

In addition to the fantastic flora, there is also the exhibition in the Courtyard Gallery entitled Images of the Apiary, which tells the story of bees and features a whole range of art works from oil paintings to stained glass and ceramics.

The Father’s Day menu also includes musical entertainment.

The Garden is open from 10am until 6pm, with last admission at 5.

I have copied almost all the details, if you would like to refer, please click on
